Cycleways is buying a trailer! This will allow us to transport our displays to events by bike, without having to resort to car transport. Much more ecological, and a great demonstration of how bikes can be used for more than just personal transport.
To make sure the trailer is used as much as possible, we will be making it available for hire through the Leamington Library of Things (LLoT). The LLoT, set up by Maurice Herson, and run by Maurice and his happy band of volunteers, was set up to make a whole range of items available for community hire, avoiding the need for individuals to buy things they might only use once in a blue moon.
The trailer is a Big Basil, from Donkey Trailers. We have ordered a floor, and a square frame to fit on top of the trailer, to make it even more versatile. We hope to take delivery some time in September, and we will make it available through the LLoT as soon as possible after that. Watch this space.
We are very grateful to the Royal Leamington Spa Town Council for awarding Cycleways £1,000 from their Climate Change Fund towards the cost of the trailer.
