New resources on the Cycleways web site

We have added a couple of new sections to our web site recently, under a new “Resources” menu.

“Cycling Routes” is designed to bring together official and member-submitted local rides. We would love to build a comprehensive set of local rides for members to choose from. Please do submit your favourite rides so we can include them on this page. We would need the following information:

  • A short description
  • The length of the ride
  • An overview map
  • Where possible, a GPX file

If you can’t provide a GPX file, we could create one for you, if you send a detailed description of the route along with your short description.

All submissions should be sent to membership@cycleways.org.uk.

“Campaigning Resources” brings together some key documents covering Infrastructure Design, Campaigning Tips, WCC Policies, and Cycle-related Webinars and Blogs. This is designed for members who want to get into the nitty-gritty of campaigning, and there are some great resources there to evaluate and critique the County Council’s plans for, and delivery of, cycling infrastructure.

If you think there are other campaigning resources we should be including on this page, please send a link to membership@cycleways.org.uk.
