Cycleways is a campaigning organisation working on behalf of cyclists in Warwick District. We have been looking at how we might improve our campaigns. One way is to recruit new members. More members means we can campaign more effectively and speak with more authority. It also allows us to get feedback from a wider group of people who have ideas about how to improve provision for cycling. But we also need to expand and improve how we communicate with our members so we can be more responsive. To that end we have introduced two new initiatives.
Supporter Membership
We have now set up free supporter membership with the option to donate to Cycleways. Our
aim is to generate a critical mass of people living and working in the area to support our
campaigning for safer, more convenient and enjoyable cycling across Warwick District. Free
supporter membership invites everyone who agrees with the need to improve conditions for
cycling, even if they never or rarely ride a bike, but nevertheless want to see change happen.
Please encourage family and friends to sign up. We will also be sharing details on social
media so please share as much as possible.
Supporter membership does not replace full membership. It is only full membership (still only £10/year!) that will give you the 10% discount at selected local bike shops.
Launch of the Cycleways WhatsApp Community
We have now launched our WhatsApp Group which we hope will increase our ability to
communicate more quickly, identify problems when they arise, but also provide a
space to share experiences and connect with each other. Please email membership@cycleways.org.uk with your name and mobile number if you would like to be added to the WhatsApp group
