This rides starts from the Leamington end of the K2L cycle path. It heads south out of Leamington along the Tachbrook Road, takes the back road to Wellesbourne, then crosses the Fosse Way to Kineton. The return loop is via Moreton Morrell.

There is a shared cycle/pedestrian path along much of the Tachbrook Road, which can be busy during rush hours.

There is a café in Wellesbourne, and another (Gilks’ garage) on the Banbury road out of Kineton. The Gilks stop is included in the route shown. The route passes the Compton Verney Art Gallery where tea and cake is also available. There is an entrance fee for non-members at Compton Verney, but the art collection there is excellent, and the Capability Brown grounds are fantastic.

There are a few hills on the way, most notably out of Wellesbourne on the way to Kineton, and out of Kineton on the way to Moreton Morrell.
