Your Cycleways committee has been thinking about the future of Cycleways and how we can most effectively be ’the voice of cycling in Warwick District’.
Our new government is placing a lot of emphasis on active travel and public transport, and the previous one set out the goal that 50% of urban journeys should be made by active travel by 2030, so it’s a good time to raise our profile, continue our campaigns and activities and increase our membership. Warwickshire County Council is the body responsible for our highways and their elections will be held next spring and we want to be ready to engage with that process.
We invite you to an open meeting for all members on 10th September at 7pm to be part of our strategy development.
